An introductory lecture from Leeds Metropolitan University’s Dr Dan Laughey, entitled ‘The Sports Digital Media-scape’ will explore the current provision and trends in Sports Media particularly considering Sports Media in relation to the recent ‘Digital Britain’ White Paper.
Ben Fry, Head of Station at Yorkshire Radio, will review his career to date and his role at Yorkshire Radio. It will take the form of a Q&A session hosted by Zoe Ward from McCormicks, one of the leading sports law firms in the UK whose clients include the Premier League,
Leeds United FC, and many high profile sportsmen and women.
A representative from The Lift Agency discusses Sports Marketing and brand building. He will provide a realistic view of the sports marketing industry - from glamour to golf tees, recent changes in the field, how technology has impacted on marketing, where the future lies, and of course hints and tips of how to get experience, important qualities and how to get that break into the field.
